Dr Marshall Olson

Focusing on oral health and its direct impact on whole-body wellness has always been a passion of Dr. Olson.

At Eco Dental & Wellness our goal is to ensure that any dental interference to whole-body wellness has been corrected in the manner most conducive to health.

Dr. Olson earned his bachelor'sdegree in zoology from Brigham Young University. He received his dental training and degree from Baylor College of Dentistry in Dallas (now known as Texas A&M School of Dentistry). Learning about the relationship of the teeth and oral health to the rest of the body motivated Dr. Olson to continue his education with courses in ozone therapies, platelet rich fibrin protocols, meridian theories of health, ceramic implants, and the use of frequency and energy in healing.

Dr Olson has over 20 years of learning from some of the most knowledgeable integrative practitioners like Dr. Jerry Tennant of the Tennant Institute. Oral health and wellness are things Dr. Olson loves to talk about. When away from the office, he loves to teach about holistic health. He speaks regularly to groups of both practitioners and the public about the biologic approach to oral health.

Dr. Olson spends his free time outdoors and traveling with the love of his life, Eliana and their yorkie travel buddies Paco and Tito.

S.M.A.R.T certified to ensure safe removal of mercury amalgam fillings, protecting our patients and ourselves from exposure to mercury vapor

Ozone

Ozone has antibacterial, antiviral, and antifungal properties. It is used to treat various dental conditions, including tooth decay, gum disease, and tooth sensitivity.

Biocompatibility Testing

Blood work, muscle testing and meridian analysis help ensure that the materials used in our patients.

Platelet Rich Fibrin

PRF is derived from the patient's own blood and accelerates healing and promotes regeneration. This means enhanced healing with lower risk of infection

Zirconia Implants

Ceramic implants show high bocompatibility. They promote optimal gum adherence which will reduce the strain on the tissue and are an alternative for those with metal sensitivities and/or allergies.

Airway Focus

3D cone beam technology and airway analysis can aid in improving the mechanics of breathing and increase oxygen delivery to the brain and the rest of the body.

Financial Facts

Do we accept insurance?

Eco Dental and Wellness does work with insurance that allow you to choose your dentist. These are typically PPO, HSA, or FSA plans. We are not in network with any insurance plans which allows us to treat you based on what you need and want on not on third party restrictions. We will work to maximize your reimbursement and will file your claims as a courtesy as long as we have your most current insurance information. We can also provide you with the codes used if you would like to contact your insurance to see about coverage.

What if I don't have insurance?

Many of our patients do not have traditional dental insurance and in fact that may be advantageous. Eco Dental and Wellness offers a Wellness Program that includes preventative services and offers special pricing for procedures without waiting periods, deductibles and restrictions. click below for more information and to join our Wellness Program!

How Does a Holistic or Biological Dentist Look at Health?

Oral health issues are either a Symptom or Cause of an underlying problem happening elsewhere in the body.Example: Cavities can be a symptom of diet, acid reflux, or airway problems.Example 2: Jaw alignment can cause posture irregulatiries, oxygen intake, or speech problems among others. Biological Dentists will examine teeth, gums, head & neck muscular system, sleep quality, nutrition & lifestyle. The dentists will follow on with questions regarding diet, medications, and daily activities in search of underlying issues causing or caused by distress to the mouth. The exam will also include x-rays if necessary for diagnosis, an oral cancer screening, and examination for any visual cues signalling disease or disfunction.

Do Holistic Dentists Use Fluoride in your Products?

Do Biological Dentists use Ozone Therapy in the practice?

Yes, ozone therapy is incorporated into several aspects of a holistic dental practice including cleanings, extractions, fillings, and other preventative treatments. This technology has been well established and has produced well documented positive results for infection control and prevention of bacterial growth.

Can you describe your X-Ray technology?

Biological Dentists uses digital 2&3D X-ray technology in limited scope, typically during first visit and to monitor problem spots as needed Use 3D CBCT scanning to view layers of tooth & bone structure in head & neck in order to diagnose underlying problems Use digital X-Ray technology instead of film to reduce the patient’s exposure to radiation Homeopathic medication is also available to reduce the body’s reaction to X-Ray Radiation (reduce inflammation/itchiness)

What materials do holistic dentists use for fillings & crowns?

Eco Dental & Wellness only uses High-Quality, metal free materials are used for every patient’s fillings, crowns and implants. Patient specific materials are on-site and used when/if a patient is suspected to have a negative reaction to standard materials through Clifford compatibility testing.Metal or Mercury Amalgams are NEVER used in a holistic office due to the numerous scientific studies showing negative effects of this type of treatment

Do Biological Dentists Remove Mercury Fillings? What is the Fix?

Mercury fillings should nearly always be replaced depending on age and risk to health if they are damaged or deteriorating. Mercury is removed using the SMART protocol and with additional protective gear for both the patient and the dentist. Fillings are replaced with biocompatible materials, unique to the patient, as described above in the materials section

What is Invisalign treatment?

Invisalign clear braces are custom made clear aligners that help straighten teeth and create beautiful smiles. Invisalign aligners are considered invisible braces and are removable which allows for more flexibility with eating, brushing, and flossing teeth. What are Zircona Implants
